Mrs. Christine J. Bruns was born March 11, 1897 at rural George, Iowa, the daughter of Ben and Margaret (Harms) Goldhorn. She attended country school.

She married Henry Bruns on September 11, 1919. They farmed near George. She was a member of Hope Reformed Church.

She died on Monday January 14, 1991 at the M.P.C. Hospital in Rock Rapids, Iowa at the age of 93 years, 10 months and four days.

She is survived by four daughters: Hilda, Mrs. Elmer Jack Klinkenborg; Lorraine, Mrs. Arthur Wibben; Beverly, Mrs. Daryl Janssen; and Augusta, Mrs. Keith Hansman, all of George, Iowa; by 13 grandchildren; by 21 great-grandchildren; by two brothers, Eilert Goldhorn of George, Iowa and Alvin Goldhorn of Cherokee, Iowa.

Arrangements were by the Bolin Funeral Service of George, Iowa.
