In Response To: Finding Parr ancestors (Hayley Parr)

Andrew Jackson Parr married Rose Elender (also called Elenor) Curry in 1835 in Johnson County, Indiana. They had twins Beauford Andrew and James Fletcher Parr in 1852 in Indiana. The family moved to Lucas County, Iowa, in 1854. Andrew homesteaded in Liberty Township, Lucas County, Iowa. Their two youngest daughters, Lydia and Mary, died and are buried in what is now called the Parr-Wheeler Pioneer cemetery on the homestead. When Andrew died in 1880 he was also buried there. His grave is marked. Elenor is probably next to him - her grave is marked with a stone with no name shown. Andrew and Elenor are my great great grandparents. You can e-mail me directly if you want any additional information. I'll be happy to share what I know.
