Military services were held at the Miley Funeral Home in Chariton for Pfc. Mahlon (Buster) Angstead son of Mrs. Lulu Angstead of Chariton. The Carl L. Caviness post of the American Legion will be in charge.

Angstead, who was born Dec 12, 1924 entered the service in August 1943, and was killed in Germany March 16, 1945. The will arrive from overseas this week.

Besides his mother, he is survived by a brother, Don of Rockford, IL. and five sisters, Irene (Skee) Williams of Aurora, IL., Fay (Gifford) Olson and Iris (Pat) Murphy, both of Des Moines., and Gay (Louis) Steinbach and Mary Jane, (at home) of Chariton.
