OBITUARY Chariton Herald Patriot Thursday Oct 26, 1939 C.E. Campbell
Charles E Campbell was born January 12, 1889 at Chesterton, Indiana and departed this life at his home in Chariton, Iowa on October 19, 1939 at the age of 50 years, 9 months and 7 days. He had been in failing health since last February, being confined to his bed most of the time. All through his long illness he was cheerful and displayed unusual patience and thoughtfulness of others. He was a member of the Methodist church and earnestly lived to follow the Golden Rule in his dealings with his fellow men. Mr Campbell was united in marriage to Bernice Meusel at Charles City, Iowa on December 16, 1915 and to this union were born Barton, Bob and La Donna Jean, who with the wife deeply mourn his passing. Besides his immediate family he leaves to mourn their loss, his mother, Mrs. Lillie Campbell, and an only uncle, Claude E. Williams of Chesterton, Indiana, many other relatives and a host of friends. He made his livelihood as a traveling salesman and was employed by the National Package Inc. of St. Louis, Mo. Funeral services were held from the Dunabee funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 conducted by Rev. Paul H Hicks of the Methodist Church. Burial was in the cemetery at Chesterton, Indiana.

This is not a relative or ancestor of mine but since included on a paper copy I received thought I would share it with others.
