Della Anderson
Della Anderson, daughter of Edward and Sophia Arnold, was born September 2, 1876, on a farm in Benton Township, Lucas Co., IA and passed away at McCord Rest Haven on September 18, 1968, at the age of 92 years, two weeks, and two days
She taught school for several years in Lucas Co. before her marriage. On Feb. 29, 1901, she was united in marriage to John F Anderson, who preceded her in death on February 18, 1968
She was a lifetime member of the United brethren Church of Otterbein, and lived her entire life on a farm south of Chariton until they retired and moved to Chariton in 1943.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John F Anderson, and one daughter, Myrtle; her parents, two brothers, four sisters, one son in law, Leonard Davis.
Surviving are one son, Ivan Anderson, two daughters, Mrs. Fern Davis, and Mrs. Opal Shanks; 12 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, one brother Jim Arnold; several Nieces and Nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. L W Mendenhall at 1:00 PM Saturday September 21, 1968 at the Beardsley – Fielding Funeral Home. Interment was at the Chariton Cemetery
