MRS. NANCY PERKINS was born in Knox County, Ill., Feby 8, 1843. She was
married in 1869 to WILLIAM THOMAS, and the same year came to Iowa, locating
in Chariton. Two children were born, a daughter, MRS. ADDA KELSEY, who
resides in New York, and a son, JOHN THOMAS, who made his home with his
mother. She was married a second time to EDWARD PERKINS, who died eighteen
years ago.

She was a good Christian woman, and has gone to her reward. She was
seemingly in good health, and on Tuesday morning was found dead in her bed.
Heart trouble was supposed to have been the cause of her death. Besides her
children, she leaves seven sisters and two brothers to mourn her departure.
Two sisters, MRS. ALONZO WILLIAMS and MRS. K. WELCH of this city, the others
residing in other States. Funeral services will be held Thursday and the
remains interred in the Norwood Cemetery.

The family home was a couple of miles northwest of Lucas.
