Thursday, December 21, 1916W. B. E. LUSK PASSES AWAY
W. B. E. Lusk, who had been a resident of Chariton for over forty years, passed away at St. Vincent's home in Quincy, Ill., on Monday evening, December 18th, 1916, at the age of 76 years.
He had been in ill health for some time and about October 1st his son, Chas. Lusk, of Quincy, Ill., came and took him to that city where he could receive the best of care and treatment.
Deceased was born in Greencastle, Indiana. He and his family were among the early residents of this place. Mrs. Lusk passed away a few years ago, and one daughter, Lizzie, died in young womanhood many years ago. The one son, Chas. B. Lusk, is the only surviving member of the family, and will have the sympathy of many friends here, as will his two children, who adored their grandfather.
Mr. Lusk followed the merchant tailor business as long as his health permitted and was well known here.
The remains will be brought to Chariton this morning on No. 3, and interment will take place in the Chariton cemetery, the services at the grave being conducted by the Masonic order, of which he was a member for many years.
