Kandalynn Marie Hall

Kandalynn Marie Hall, 16, was born Nov. 30, 1993 at the Lucas County Medical Center in Chariton, Iowa. After a hard fought battle to survive, she went to be with the Lord on April 12, 2010.

Kandalynn was born to Christopher L. Hall and Pepper L. Glick on Nov. 30, 1993. She was raised in Lucas, Iowa all her life.

Kandalynn was a sophomore at Chariton High School. During her high school years, she played several sports, but volleyball was her favorite. She planned to graduate early as a junior and get her nursing degree.

Kandalynn was a wonderful, beautiful young lady. She was a very caring, generous person who loved her family and friends. They meant the world to her. She had a passion for music, loved dancing in the rain, eating pickles, tie-dye and Bob Marley, among other things. She had an infectious smile and magnetic eyes. She had a way with children. They were drawn to her. She made them feel safe and loved. She had an inner beauty that shown through everything she did. She was a truly genuine person. Her deep compassion for people was evident in her acts of kindness and fairness with everyone. She was easy to love.

Kandalynn will be greatly missed, although she will live in our hearts and minds forever.

Kandalynn was preceded in death by her, paternal great-grandparents; Andrew A. and Cleo M. Gwinn, Clifford C. and Lillian R. Hall and her maternal great-grandfather; Maurice Threinen.

Kandalynn is survived by her father; Christopher L. (Nina L.) Hall of Lucas, mother; Pepper L. (Timothy M.) Glick of Lucas, sister; Melissa A Hall of Oklahoma City, brother; Christopher Lucas Hall of Oklahoma City, sister; Kaydee J. Hall of Des Moines, brother; William J. Glick of Lucas, paternal grandparents; Donald C. and Donna J. Hall of Lucas, maternal grandparents; Vincetta and William O'Riley of Lucas, Timothy Glick Sr. and Nancy Gomez of Des Moines, Juanita Glick of Shawnee, Kansas, boyfriend; Joey Christensen of Chariton, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Memorials may be sent to Fielding Funeral Home in Chariton, Iowa.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010, at Fielding Funeral Home.

Family met with friends, at the funeral home, from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 16, 2010.

Interment is in the Chariton Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Melissa Hall, Lucas Hall, Kaydee Hall, Casey Hagens, Ian Hall, Neely Hall, Shanna Palmer, Charlie Buchanan, Tawny Buckanan, William Glick, Joey Christensen, Alexandria Forshier, Leah Huff and Paul Long Jr..
