Darvin Nordell "Squeaky" Niswender
Westville- Darvin Nordell "Squeaky" Niswender, 69 of Westville, died at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 14, 1995) at VA Medical Center in Danville.
Born July 11, 1926, in Gillette, Wy, the son of Harley and Cozie Scott Niswender. He married Delores Warmouth in 1951 in Blackstone, VA. She died Oct. 15 1994. he is survived by: one daughter, Brenda (Craig) Strako of Westville: one granddaughter, Brandi Riggen of Westville: one great-grandchild, Tanner Riggen: and one sister, Desma Doyle of Alliance, Neb. He was preceded by his parents, five brothers and one sister.
He was employed at Kroger Supermarket as a meat cutter for 35 years. He was a graduate of Campbell County High School in Wyoming. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Martin F. Vutrick American Legion Post #51 of Westville and 40 & 8 Club. His hobby was woodworking.
Graveside services: 1 p.m. Thursday at Franklin Cemetery in Paris: Military rites will be conducted by the Westville American Legion: there will be no visitation.
