Samuel Niswender died at his home in Oakley last Thursday afternoon, after having been sick nearly three weeks. The funeral took place at the M.E. church Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Knoll, pastor of that church, of which Mr. Niswender was a highly esteemed member. He was also a member of the Masonic order, by whom the burial service was conducted. Mr. Niswender was an honest, upright citizen, highly respected by all, and will be greatly missed in the community. His wife and family have the heartfelt sympathy of all.

Samuel Niswender, an old settler of Liberty died at his home in Oakley last Thursday at a little past 3 o'clock. The funeral was preached at the M.E. church at Oakley on Friday by O. Knoll. There was a good audience, not with standing the down pour of rain. The remains were taken to Chariton for interment.
