Mrs. Geo. Niswender

Laura Douglass, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Noble Douglass, was born in Lucas county, Iowa, Sept. 15, 1855, and died at her home in Oakley, Iowa, on Jan. 11, 1919, at the age of 63 years, ? months, ? days. She was married to Geo. H. Niswender on March 23, 1881. To this union four children were born, Otis T. Niswender, of Colorado; Harley F. Niswender, of Wyoming; Orbin A. Niswender and Mrs. Flossie E. Baker, of Oakley. She confessed her faith in Christ in her early childhood and joined the Methodist church in the year 1888, and has since been an active and faithful worker. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband, three sons, one daughter and fifteen grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Clayburg of Indianola on Monday forenoon, followed by interment in the Chariton cemetery. The sympathy of the community will be extended to the bereaved family.
