CHARITON,IA.-The Rev. Hal B. Joiner, 58, of Chariton died of hepatic disorder Monday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fielding Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Chariton Cemetery.

The Rev. Joiner was born in San Antonio, Texas. He lived in Louisiana before moving to Chariton in 1977. He had been an ordained minister for 34 years.

Survivors include his mother, Catherine Joiner of Chariton; two sons, Kenneth and Stephen, both of Chariton; two daughters, Rebecca Maxey of Milan, Ill., and Donna Joiner of Ankeny; and six grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
