Angelina Bizjak – OBIT – Chariton Leader Dec 31, 1992

Angelina Bizjak, daughter of Joseph and Maria Zlindra, was born May 10, 1891 in Yogoslavia. She passed away Dec 20, 1992, at the Lucas County Health Center at the age of 101 years and seven months. Due to a fall, she had entered the Health Center and remained a patient for five days. She was then transferred to the Chariton Manor. Angelina spent only nine days at the Manor when her health failed and she returned to the hospital. Prior to her fall, she had her own apartment at the Autumn Park Apartments.

Angeline loved to sew, knit and crochet until her eyesight began to fail and she could no longer see to do such fine work. She was always willing to lend a hand to help someone in need. She was a member of the Hiteman Methodist Church before moving to Chariton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marke; and one son August. She is survived by one son, Mark Jerry Bizjak of Sweet Home, Ore.; two daughters, Celia Peterson of Sweet Home, Ore.; and Angie Chamberlain of Chariton; six grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren along with many friends.

Angelina will be greatly missed by her many friends at Autumn Park, where she had resided for 14 years. She enjoyed walking the halls, with the help of a walker, visiting with all the tenants. She was loved by all who knew her
