Funeral services for Samuel M. Pfrimmer, Denver grocer and disabled War I veteran, will be held at 2:30 p.m tomorrrow in the Ohanger Mortuary, Speer Blvd. Funeral and graveside services at Fairmount will be conducted by Oriental Masonic Lodge No. 87.
Mr. Pfrimmer, who lived at the rear of his grocery store at 2163 15th St., died Friday at Fitzsimons General Hospital where he had been hospitalized for 10 days.
He was born in Lucas County, Iowa, July 13, 1890; and received his primary education there. As a member of the Iowa National Guard, he saw action in several engagements along the Mexican Border incidents preceding World War I.
He joined the 116th Engineers Division during World War I and fought in several key battles in France. He was severely wounded in Germany.
Following his discharge, he studied enginering at Wyoming and Colorado Universities. His injuries kept him from graduating, and he was forced to enter Fitzsimons for further treatment. He opened his store, Mack's Grocery, 20 years ago.
Because of poor health he had not left his home for the past 17 years. He was known to most of the neighborhood children, because of the assistance he gave them with their school homework.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Anna Pfrimmer; a daughter, Mrs. Lorraine D. Hackman of Denver; a grandchild; and 12 brothers and sisters.
