Chariton Herald Patriot newspaper, July 31, 1941, obituary:
Mattie Lipe Pfrimmer, daughter of John and Mahala Lipe, was born near Norwood, Iowa on July 7,1866; and passed away July 25, 1941 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Kelly, near Osceola, Iowa, at the age of 75 years and 18 days.
She was married to A. C. Pfrimmer on January 28, 1886; and soon after they moved to their home in Otter Creek Township where she lived until the last five years which have been spent with diferent ones of her children.
She was the mother of 13 children; 11 of whom are still living. Her husband and two daughters preceded her in death. At her death she was survived by 11 childrren, 24 grandchildren, one
sister, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. Eldon MacCannon and Rev. Duncan were held at the Norwood U. B. Church at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, 1941; and burial was in the Norwood Cemetery beside her husband.
The family greatly appreciates the sympathy and remembrances of the many relatives and friends.
