Herald Patriot, Chariton, Iowa, April 19,1923, front page:
Albert Clay Pfrimmer was born in Corydon, Harrison County, Indiana on July 21, 1860; and died at his farm home in Otter Creek Township, Lucas County, Iowa, on April 17, 1923 at the age of 62 years, 8 months, and 26 days.
When he was nine years of age, he came to Lucas County with his father and mother and brothers and sister, where he resided until he was 25 years of age.
On January 28, 1886, he was united in marriage to Mattie Lipe. To this union were born thirteen children: Ada of Omaha; Vashti of Oakland;
S. McRae of Denver; Blonda of Linden; Mabel of Des Moines; John and George of Lucas; Saxon of Liberty Center; Mary of St. Cloud, Minnesota; Martha of Rubio; Ruth of Iowa City; and Charlotte and Wilber at home. These with his wife and mother live to mourn the loss of an affectionate husband and loving father. He, also, leaves 7 grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. T. D. Ashby of Lucas, a brother, Francis Marion of Stratton, Nebraska; besides a host of relatives and friends.
He was converted at the age of 20 years and joined the M. E. church and adhered to that faith the remainder of his life. Although not always having a church home, his life was always devited/devoted to upright living and fearless citizenship. There was no "if" nor "perhaps" to his religious creed. To him the Bible was the word of God, teaching the divinity of Jesus Christ, immortality and the resurrection and redemption through the blood of the Saviour. To his children he leaves the heritage of an untarnished life.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday by Rev. E. E. Curtis and interment made in the Norwood Cemetery.
