MR. ELI HART, of Clarke Co., and MISS NELLIE HIGGINS, of this township, were
married in Des Moines last week. The groom is a son of MRS. SAMANTHA HART,
and the bride has made her home with BERT CUNNINGHAM and family.NINA ASHBY is teaching the Hazel Dell School and CASIE YONT the Bond School,
both beginning March 30.L.S. ASHBY is still afflicted with rheumatism, and MABEL WALLACE is helping
in the store.MR. COOLEY and MISS FLORENCE OSENBAUGH, both of this township, were married
in Osceola, March 31.RAY SHELTON came out from Chariton for a visit with his brother, JIM, and
took down with the measles, exposing JIM and wife, as they have neither one
had them.EDITH ASHBY and her friend MISS MCROBERTS, both students at the Kirksville,
Mo. Medical School, returned to their work last Monday.BEN ANDERSON of Warren Co., and RUBY PENICK of Lucas Co., were married at
the home of the parents, SAMUEL PENICK and wife, April 1, by Rev. Pond.CLARK CROOKS' oldest child was buried at the Latter Day Saints Cemetery last
Tuesday, funeral services being conducted at the L.D.S. Church by Rev.
Hulbert.FRED CONRAD left Friday evening, for a visit with his brother, J.F. in Des
Moines. He was accompanied as far as Indianola, by J.F. BAUGH, who will
visit his daughter, MRS. JACK RUBLE.
