Thursday, June 13, 1907MR. HENRY M. CLAYTON and MISS SARAH FUNK were united in marriage at the home
of the bride's parents, Wednesday evening, at 8 o'clock, Rev. Yaggy, of the
United Brethren Church officiating, in the presence of about thirty-five
invited guests. The bride wore a white Persian lawn dress.After congratulations, a two-course luncheon was served. The bride is a
daughter of MR. and MRS. DAVID FUNK, and has spent the greater part of her
life in Chariton, where she has made a host of friends. The groom is a son
of MR. and MRS. HENRY CLAYTON. He is an honest and industrious young man,
and has a position as clerk in the First National Bank. They will go to
housekeeping at once in west Chariton where the groom has a cozy cottage
already furnished. The Leader joins their many friends in congratulations
for a long and happy life.
