The Chariton Leader, Chariton, Iowa
Thursday, June 13, 1907

Married at the Christian Parsonage in Osceola on Wednesday, June 5th, JOHN
LEWIS to MISS MYRTLE BELL, both of Lucas. For some time it has been
noticeable that "two was company and three was none" with this young couple,
and a cozy home was being prepared on the sly. The bride is a daughter of
DR. J.C. BELL and wife, and has made her home in Lucas for fifteen years
past. For many terms she has been one of the instructors in the Lucas
schools and is of a disposition to make a congenial helpmate. The groom is
a son of our townsman, T.H. LEWIS, and has held a good position at the Big
Hill Mine for some time and is a pleasant and industrious young man.

The congratulations extended the happy couple have been numerous and sincere
and their many friends hope that the future has in store for them only
pleasure and prosperity.
