Murder of mother

Hannah Mcdonough was murdered by her son John, in Nov 1915,Louisa, Iowa. Her son killed her and left the body in an abandoned house along the road home from a trip they had gone on to see relatives. She carried large sums of money with her. A garage owner became suspicious of him a couple days later when he saw blood on the back seat of the car. Apparently there was quite a bit of newspaper coverage in the region at the time.
Her son was a veteran of the Spanish-Amercan War in 1898. Also had done some jail time.
I am looking for records of this incident.
