Hello, Nice to see another distant cousin here.. wish you had left your name. Both Joanne Presley and I have also looked and looked for information on Peter Kurtz and found dead ends prior to his marriage to Elizabeth Fairchild. I did find a Peter Kurtz working as a farm hand in Penn before the marriage, but no other info on him and no certainty that this is our man. I question where he was born as the marriage record says GR for Germany. On census records his bp listed variously as PA or Germany, even by his children. I have not found an immigration record for him, nor a birth record. I do have a copy of the Kurtz Family Tree complied by my great uncle, Glen McNicol. I also have correction pages for your James and Martha Kurts daughters. You, or any other family researcher, may contact directly at quiltgram@charter.net
