BURTON L. GIPPLE

Burton LeRoy Gipple, 42, of Route 2, Columbus Junction, (Iowa) died Wednesday,
June 27, 1990, at University Hospital, Iowa City.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Chapel with Rev. Richard Russell officiating. Kathy Garris was organist. Casket bearers were Chris Buffington, Steven Settles, Steven Gerling; Gary Jones, Paul Babcock, and Daryl Gipple. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.

Mr. Gipple was born September 29, 1947, at Muscatine, the son of Jack Loy and Mildred Mary Owens Gipple. He married Neta F. Butterbaugh on July 2 1970, at Wellman.

He was a farmer, a member of the Spring Run United Methodist Church the Farm Bureau, Army Reserve, and was an assistant coach and umpire for Little League.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Bret Eric, Jeff Alan, and Kevin Benjamin; his mother of Columbus Junction; one brother, Samuel Gipple of Waukegan, Illinois; and three sisters, Mrs. Gayle (Mary) Jensen of Ashland, North Dakota; Helen Loy Gipple of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin; and Mrs. Harold (Jo Etta) Dettwiler, of Manvel, Texas.

His father preceded him in death.
