ORVILLE O. COLLIER

Orville Ora Collier, 71, of Route 2, Columbus Junction, died at his home Monday morning, July 2,1990.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, July 6, at the Stacy-Lewis Chapel with Rev. Thomas Woodin officiating. Darlene Allen will be organist. Casket bearers will be Howard Coil, Ross Masonholder, Jake Davis, Lyle Smith, Glen Schlutz, and Tom Salazar Sr. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Collier was born February 14, 1919, at Pattersburg, Missouri, the son of Arthur and Vergie Clark Collier. He married Marjorie Dunham November 18, 1939, at Weatherby, Missouri.

He had been a farmer, also had worked as a parts man at Farmers Supply, Ford Garage, and L-W Farm Service. He was a member of the Columbus City United Methodist Church and the Columbus City Cemetery Board.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Dixie) Schwab of Columbus Junction, and one son, Richard Collier of Columbus City; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one brother, Doyle Collier of Hamilton, Missouri; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Uthe of Winston, Missouri and Mrs. Fayette Bridgeman of Cameron, Missouri.

One daughter, Judy Carpenter, preceded him in death January 27,1990.
