Helen 'Darlene' Stott

WAPELLO (Iowa) - Helen "Darlene' Stott, 50, of Morning Sun, formerly of Wapello, died Saturday eve­ning, Sept. 17, 1994, at the Burl­ington Medical Center in Burling­ton.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wed­nesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home with the Rev. Chris Ebbers officiating. Burial will be at the Wapello Cemetery at Wapello.

The family will meet with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where a memorial has been established.

Mrs. Stotts was born April 24, 1934, at Wapello a daughter of Donald "Dutch" and Helen Part­ington Gillette. She married Louis "Gunner" Stott on Sept. 11, 1950, in Wapello. She attended Wapello schools.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Wapello, the American Legion Auxiliary in Morning Sun and the Royal Neighbors of America. She enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her husband,Gunner; her parents, Dutch and Helen Gillette of the Morning Sun Care Center; three daughters, Evelyn Moore and Amy Kaalberg, both of Nichols, and Joyce Oberman of Le Claire; four sons, Stanley Stott and Jerry Stott, both of Muscatine; Timothy Stott of Scott Air Base, Belleville, Ill., and Jason Stott of Wapello. A son, Steven, is deceased.

Also surviving are five sisters, Peggy Phillips of Fort Myers, Fla., Anna Bronsink of Sparta, Mich., Doris Crouch of Yarmouth, Shirley Lott of Wapello and Linda A Giese of Morning Sun; five brothers, Donald D. Gillette of Tampa, Fla., Robert "Bob" Gillette of Clinton, and Keith Gillette, Terry Gillette and Lyle Gillette, all of Wapello; and several nieces and nephews.
