Page 1George W. Dill, of Columbus Junction, committed suicide last Thursday at a hotel in Davenport, Iowa, by cutting his throat with a razor. Mr. Dill had been staying at the Davenport hotel for five or six days, and had been in ill health. The last seen of him alive was Wednesday night about 12 o'clock, when W. H. Harrison, proprietor of the hotel, was talking to him in the lobby of the Davenport. At hat time he complained of being ill and nervous. He was not seen again until his room was broken into Thursday afternoon when he was found lying in the bath tub with his throat cut.
Mr. Dill was the oldest son of Mrs. Mary Dill, of Columbus Junction. He was about twenty-eight old and was a young man of exemplary habits. Besides his mother he leaves a brother, Charles, a sister Nettie, both of Columbus Junction. The funeral was held Monday at 11 o'clock at the home in Columbus Junction, conducted by Rev. Arthur Long, of Burlington, with interment in the Columbus City cemetery.
