Walter Adamson, the eleven year old son of Mr and Mrs. J. W. Adamson, of near Bard, died last night of diphtheria, after an illness of a week with what appeared to be tonsilitis. When a doctor was called it was too late. He was buried this afternoon in the Wapello cemetery. The boy was taken sick at school a week ago and it is probably there will be a number of cases. His little sister about six or seven years old has the disease and the twelve year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Walsinger is also sick with throat trouble.
