Nels Creige, a man about 50 years of age, died at the county home July 19, 1909 and was buried at the county cemetery the following day. He was taken to the county home from Morning Sun last winter. Recently he was taken to Iowa City for an operation, where it was discovered he had cancer of the intestines. He was an industrious fellow and a splendid horseshoer. Some of the citizens of Morning Sun paid the expenses of taking him to the hospital and we understand will pay his funeral expenses.
