Mrs. Thos. J. Thomas died at her home southwest of Columbus City, July 5, 1909, and the funeral was held the following day, conducted by Rev. T. P. Jenkins of the Congregational church. Burial at the Cambrain cemetery. Deceased's maiden name was Ester Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Davis, and she was born in Columbus City township in 1874. She leaves to mourn her death the husband and two children, Harlan and Kenneth, her father and mother, two sisters and two brothers, besides a host of friends. She was beloved by all and her death is particularly sad because of the two children who will be deprived of a devoted mother.
