Little Marian Kelly, third daughter of W.J. Kelly and wife, died Saturday morning April 24, 1909, at about 4 o'clock, aged 7 years, 2 months and 28 days. She was born in Wapello, Ia., January 27, 1902, and all her short life was spent here. She was a bright, active child until stricken with distressing form of infantile paralysis sometime last September. Everything that medical skill could offer was of no avail. She grew constantly worse, and week by week became more helpless. She leaves her parents and two sisters and two brothers to mourn her death, besides the friends who knew and loved her and watched her fade away from earth. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the home at 2:30, conducted by Rev. A. L. Hill, pastor of the Christian church. Interment in the Wapello cemetery.
