Edward Davis, a highly respected young man, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Davis of the Welsh neighborhood, near Columbus Junction, died at Hot Springs, Ark., last Friday afternoon, March 19, 1909, of typhoid fever. He went to Hot Springs about two months ago for his health and was stricken with typhoid fever about three of four weeks ago. The funeral occurred Sunday afternoon at the home, and services were also held at Zion church, conducted by the Rev. Wm. M. Jones, of Lake Crystal, Minn. Edward Davis was a young man of fine character and stood high in the community.
