Mrs. Eliza Ann King Moffett died this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hunsicker. She was born in Butler Co., Ohio, May 7, 1833. Her mother died when she was about four years of age. With her father she moved to Indiana in 1842, remaining in that state until 1856. She came to Iowa in 1857, taught school in this state one year, then went back to Ohio, where she married Dr. W. H, Moffett in 1858. To this union was born five children, two boys and three girls, three of whom are deceased. Two living, Mrs. Mary Catherine Bishop, of Muscatine and Mrs. Mattie J. Hunsicker, of this city.

Mrs. Moffett has been a member of the Methodist Episcopal church for several years and was very faithful to her church, often attending services when hardly able to do so. She will be greatly missed in the church circles. She was a woman of more than ordinary intelligence, was a loving and devoted mother, and will be mourned by a host of friends. The funeral services will be held at the M. E. church Friday morning at 9:30, conducted by Rev. M. E. Reusch. Interment at Grandview.
