Miss Matten Ellen Swan, of Morning Sun, succumbed to appendicitis at Burlington hospital, late Tuesday. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Swan, a lovable and popular lady, who will be missed by all who knew her. She was taken to the institution suffering fro appendicitis an it was hoped that she would rally sufficiently to enable the physicians to perform an operation, but it proved impossible to revive her fading strength. Miss Swan was born in Mediapolis nineteen years ago, but has spent most of her life in Morning Sun.
