May Jane (Hart) Ryan died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bird, of this place, Wednesday morning. She suffered a stoke of paralysis Monday from which she never rallied. Her home was near Grandview, to which place she will be taken for burial. She was seventy-two years old. Her husband Michael Ryan, an aged veteran, and four children survive her. The sorrowing children are: Mrs. Mary Bird, Wapello; Mrs. Emma Boyer, of Muscatine; Ike, who lives on the home place near Grandview and with whom the old folks made their home, and Mrs. Lizzie Holiday, of Muscatine.
