Nellie Schanning, the adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Schanning, of Fredonia, died last Thursday morning with consumption. She was born March 22, 1889 and was adopted when but three years of age. She was a bright, livable young lady and was beloved by all who knew her. Her untimely death has cast a dark shadow over the home. The funeral services were held Saturday forenoon at 10 o'clock, conducted by Rev. J. C. Kendrick, with interment in Fredonia cemetery.
