One of Wapello's very early settlers passed away Monday in the person of Mrs. Fredericka Wilhelmina Hetzer Nyemaster, at the ripe age of 86 years, 11 months and 1 day. The deceased was born in Germany, Dec. 30. 1816. She was united in marriage to Carl Joseph Nyemaster in 1841, and in company with her husband emigrated to America in 1842 landing in New Orleans. Shortly afterwards in the same years they came to Wapello. Her husband died in 1858. Of this union seven children were born, four sons and three daughters, the surviving children being Herman, Victor, Louis, of Wapello and Mrs. Josephine Stuart of Washington, Iowa. The deceased was a highly respected woman and in her death Wapello loses one of her very early settlers. The funeral will be held from the home today at 2 p. m., conducted by Rev. W. C. Schultze, with interment in Wapello cemetery.
