George Frederick Otto died in a hospital at Davenport last Friday morning at 3 o'clock of paralysis. Deceased was the son of Mr. and Mr. John Otto of this place, and has been an invalid for the past twenty-five years. During all this time he has had constant care, and everything that mortal hands could do was done for him. Death came as a relief to his suffering. He was born July 17, 1866, and was at the time of his death aged 36 years, 11 months, and 16 days. He leaves a father and mother, two sisters and three brothers, to mourn the loss. W. S. Otto arrived from Davenport Saturday morning with the remains. The funeral services were held at the residence of John Otto Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. W. C. Schultze, pastor of the German M. E. church. Interment was made in the Wapello cemetery.
