Columbus Junction - Mrs. Melinda Duncan, wife of Jas. A. Duncan, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. I. A. Edsley, on Friday, July 3, and was buried at Columbus City on Sunday. She was born in Blount county, Tennessee, in 1826 and came to Iowa in the early forties. She leaves her aged husband and several children to mourn her demise. The funeral was conducted by her pastor, Rev. J. S. Tussey of the U. P. church.
