At 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon occurred the death of Frank Gabriel at his home two miles south of Columbus City, after an illness of a little over a week of something like the grip. He was forty-four years of age and leaves a wife and five children, besides many other relatives and friends to mourn his untimely death. The funeral occurred at 3 o'clock Monday afternoon from the U. B. church in Columbus City and was in charge of the Woodmen camp of Columbus Junction, of which he was a faithful member ad in which he carried $2,000 insurance. Mr. Gabriel was a successful farmer having a nice home and was a kind, pleasant man, who will be much missed in the community where he lived.
