Chas. M. Crim, of Columbus Junction, died at his home there at 12:30 o'clock Sunday. He had been a sufferer, almost an invalid, for many years, yet no one expected his death so soon and the news came as a great shock to the people, as very few knew of his serious illness which had only been since Friday. He was born in Ohio in 1845; came with his father's family to Iowa in 1851. They settled in Union township which was the family home until twelve years ago when Mr. Crim moved to Columbus Junction on account of his poor health. He was married to Miss Maria Foster September 28, 1870. Five children and wife survive him. The children are: Virgie McGuier, Rachel Sink, Albert W. A. Elmore and A. J. All except the last are married and they were all with their father at the last.

Besides these immediate members of his own family he leaves brothers and sisters as follows: Morris, whose home is in Alberta, B. C.; Lemuel, at Fresno, Calif.; Margaret Raymond, Walla Walla, Washington; Catherine Tatman, Idaho; Adam, Seattle; Wellington, Prescott; Rachel Carr, Union township and Jane Todd, of Fresno, Cal. The funeral services were held from the home Tuesday at 10 a. m., conducted by the odd fellows, of which he was a member. Interment at Union Bethel cemetery.
