Mrs. Wilhelmena Berkhoff Williamson, beloved wife of W. C. Williamson, died May 1st, 1903, after a lingering illness with kidney trouble, aged 54 years, 9 months and 7 days. She was born in West Phalia, Prussia Gemnay, July 24th, 1848 and came to America with her parents in 1852. The year following they removed to Wapello. Jan 5th 18?9 she was united in marriage with W. C. Williamson. To this union were born seven children, two sons and five daughters. One son and a daughter died in infancy and another daughter, Edna Belle, died at the age of 15 years. The other children, Mrs. Julia Eversmeyer, Austin J., Mrs. Minnie Eversmeyer and Mrs. E. A. Jones together with the husband, still survive and mourn her departure to that better world. The deceased was a true and loving mother, a dutiful wife and beloved by all her neighbors and friends. The funeral services were held from the home at one o'clock Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. B. E. Reusch.
