Died, May 2nd, at her home in Grandview, Iowa, Sarah C. Lacey, wife of Edwin B. Lacey, aged 75 years and one month. Sarah Charlotte Wilcox was born in Broad Albin, New York, April 2, 1822. At the age of ten years she removed with her parents to Hinckley, Medina Co, Ohio She was married to Edwin B. Lacey, April 5th, 1843. She was the mother of nine children, of whom five with her husband survive her. Curtis P. Lacey, of Wapello, Ia., Rhoda S. Sprague, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Palemon Lacey, of Burlington, Iowa, Susan N. Letts and Edwin Lacey of Columbus Iunction, Iowa.

Mrs. Lacey has been for many years a member of the Presbyterian church and has exemplified in her life the spirit of true Christianity. The funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church in this city at 1 p. m. Wednesday, conducted by Rev. T. N. Buchanan and her remains were laid to rest in the Wapello cemetery.
