Page 5Mary Victoria Mason was born in the state of Ohio, June 23, 1842 and departed this life in Barton county, Mo., April 27, 1897. From Ohio her parents removed to Wisconsin, then to New Boston, Ill., and later to Louisa county, Iowa. In the month of April, 18? she was married to John C. Presury. All her married life was spent in Louisa county with the exception of about thirteen months spent in Barton county, Mo.
She was the mother of nine children, two of whom died in infancy. Six daughters, one son and a husband survive her. About 9 years ago she united with the Methodist church at Wapello. The remains reached Wapello on Thursday evening and she was buried from the Methodist church on Friday, April 30.
