Died, Saturday Sept. 23d, 1893, Mrs. Jane Thompson, wife of Wm. Thompson at her home in Grandview township, aged 70 years, 5 months and 4 days. She was the daughter of Jacob and Jane Shellabarger and was born in Clark Co, Ohio, coming to this county in 1859. She was married to William Thomson Oct. 15, 1840. She was the mother of wedded life, three sons and four daughters, of whom three survive her. viz. W. B., J. S. and Libbie Thompson. One son, Joseph E. and three daughters, Mrs. Aleetus Latta, Mrs. J. S. Kelly and mes. W. H. McGilll have preceded her. She also leaves a brother, T. B. Shellabarger of Grandview twp and two sisters living, beside her aged husband who has been blind for thirty years.

At the early age of 14 she made choice of the Christian life, uniting with the Presbyterian church, and continue faithful believer in and student of the bible. The funeral services occurred Monday Sept. 25 from the late home, conducted by Rev. Condit, of this city, assisted by Rev. Cunningham, of Letts. A very large concourse was present and nearly all relatives of the deceased.
