Spring Run, Dec. 16 - John Metzger died at his home Dec. 5th, 1890, aged 31 years, 2 months and 7 days. Mrs. Metzger having preceded him last August. They leave three little girls, Nora, Sarah and Lucy, aged 8, 7, and 3 years respectively. An aged father two brothers and one sister mourn his loss. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. G. Bixler of Anamosa. His remains were followed to the cemetery by a large concourse of friends and relations.
