Mrs. Lizzie Kremer, wife of W. S. Kremer of Wapello passed away in death at midnight, January 30th. Her maiden name was Whicher and she was born near Indianapolis, Ind., May 14, 1838. June 14, 1859. She was married to Mr. Kremer at Ainsworth in Washington county. To this union 9 children were born, 7 of whom are living, 4 daughters and 3 sons.

She has not been in good health for several years, and the prevailing influenza was the immediate cause of death. She was a member of the M. E. church almost from childhood and died full of faith and the consolation it brings. Entirely conscious to the last moment, she bid the family farewell. The funeral services were at the residence Saturday, February 1, Rev. Henness of Morning Sun preaching the sermon, to a large congregation of sympathizing friends and neighbors.
