We last week announced the death of Mrs. Mary Mahurin which occurred just as we went to press. Additional facts as to her personal history have come to hand since then. She was born in Linn county, Mo., June 1, 1851, lost her mother at the tender age of 2 years, and was married to F. M. Mahurin, July 28th, 1868. Since then she has lived a faithful companion always ready to help bear the burdens of life, greatly helpful to her husband in his ministry, and stood with him through privation without complaint. She was the mother of six children of whom four are living. Nor mother had greater care and anxiety for her children. She was a devoted member of the church from the age of 18 years, and found many loved friends in Wapello. The bereaved husband authorizes us to extend his gratitude to the people of Wapello and Toolesboro for their great kindness to him in his affliction.
