Page 4James Erwin died at the residence of his son John in Elm Grove township and was buried at Harrison cemetery, Wednesday of last week. He would have been 83 years old had he lived to the 11th of the coming February. He was born in Ireland, came to this country when 19 years of age and settled in this county in 1837. We knew him to be a quite, worthy citizen who commanded the respect and confidence of all who knew him.
