Mrs. Nelson Duncan, for many years a resident of this community, died Friday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grace Orr, at Albia. Rosanna Robertson was born at Cambridge, Ohio, August 27, 1853 and departed this life, December 7, 1923, aged 70 years, 3 months and 11 days. When she was quite small she moved with her parents to Columbus City where she spent most of her life. For the past seven years she has made her home in Albia, with her daughter. In 1871 she was united in marriage to Nelson Duncan. Six children blessed this home.

Mr. Duncan and one daughter, Mamie, preceding her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, one brother, Ralph Robertson, of Shannon City, Iowa and four daughters, Mrs. Garry Stapp, of Columbus Junction; Mrs. Joe Schoch, of Columbus City; Mrs. Will Moore of Billings, Montana and Mrs. Grace Orr of Albia and one son, Fred of Columbus Junction. Mrs. Duncan united with the Associate Presbyterian church. With her husband she attended the United Presbyterian church.

The body was brought Saturday to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Garry Stapp and funeral services were held Sunday afternoon in the United Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. R. W. Jamieson. Interment at Columbus City
