Morning Sun people were shocked Saturday evening when they learned that Mrs. Stephen McKinley had been found dead, lying on the davenport in her home there. In the morning when her two grandsons went to carry in her coal she was seemingly in the best of health. About 4:30 that evening, however, when her son, Bert McKinley went there on an errand he found his mother dead. She has been living alone since the death of her husband over 10 years ago. Mrs. McKinley had apparently been dead for several hours. Her death was thought to have been due to heart trouble. She would have been 83 years old yesterday had she lived. She was born in Cairo and has lived in that community all her life. She leaves a son Bert, and a daughter, Mrs. W. A. Thompson, of Morning Sun. A sister, Mrs. Lamm and brothers Chancy Sellers of Clarion, Ia, William Sellers of Wapello, Dan Sellers of Washington and John Sellers of Iowa City also mourn.
