Mrs. Albert Werner. Pearl May Pantel, daughter of Charles W. and Mary Blauer Pantel was born on a farm near Grandview, October 20, 1892 and departed this life Sunday morning, September 16, 1923 aged thirty six years, ten months and twenty six days. She was the youngest of a family of three children, Stephen F., who died January 16, 1918 and Bertha who died in infancy. The early part of her life was spent on the farm and in Wapello. The family later moved to Grandview. She was a member of the Grandview Congregational church. Her mother's death occurred December 21, 1914. On March 27, 1918, she was united in marriage to Albert Werner of Letts. Her father who made his home with them died, May 20, 1920.

She leaves to mourn her departure besides her husband the following children, Charles, Raymond, Mary, Robert and an infant son, being one of twin baby boys also a large number of relatives and friends. She was a friend to all and a kind neighbor. Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday afternoon September 18th conducted by Rev. Oater of Grandview.
